Surprise!

We are going to squeeze in another dance rehearsal tomorrow.  I'll cover the Apache dance in Canaan Days and if there is time afterward, we will review Hoedown.  Apache has Chism, Michael, Kasey, and Christina.  The rest of you will be working with Waterhouse or Walters of course.  Then you get me at the end for review.

An Apache dance is a sultry French style with elements of tango.  News to me, it's pronounced "ah PAHSH" like the French would, not "ah PACH ee" like the Native American tribe.  It's a little sassy, and according to wikipedia "The dance is sometimes said to reenact a violent "discussion" between a pimp and a prostitute."  Our version will not be so racy, but there will be some slapping.

Ours will NOT be acrobatic like these.  Let me put that more clearly: Chism, don't break the girls trying to copy these moves!
